Miguel Ángel García Mezcua - Tenor Sax

Born in Manzanares (Ciudad Real). He began his studies at the local school of music, with the intention of continuing with the Professional Degree at the ‘Conservatorio “Marcos Redondo”’ of Ciudad Real, under the guidance of Professor José Alfonso Cruz. Afterwards, he moved to San Sebastián (Gipuzkoa), where he completed his professional studies at “Musikene” (Centro Superior de Música del País Vasco) with Professors Eric Devallon, Tomás Jerez and Antonio Felipe Belijar. In 2014, he studied the “Máster Universitario de interpretación musical” at the ‘Universidad Internacional de Andalucía’ (UNIA), where he had the chance to work with different Professors such as Claude Delangle, Arno Bornkamp, Vicent David, David Alonso or Juan Jiménez.

 

Founder member of the “Adsax” quartet, with which they have been awarded with dissimilar prizes in competitions. They carried out intense concert activity which has taken them to different stages, such as the ‘Teatro “Campos Elíseos”’ of Bilbao, the ‘Fundación “Juan March”’ and the “Teatros del Canal”, both of Madrid or the ‘Auditorio “Kursaal”’ of San Sebastián, city where they have also participated in two editions of the “Quincena Musical”.

 

Also, founder member of “Seiklus Ensemble”, with which he has visited diverse stages, such as the ‘Centro Cultural “La Beneficencia”’ of Valencia, the ‘Conservatorio Superior de Música de Castilla-La Mancha’ (Albacete) or the ‘Conservatorio Profesional de Música “Mestre Vert” de Carcaixent’ (Valencia).


Since 2013, he has been teaching at the ‘Escuela Municipal de Música “Ángel Sancho y Lucía”’ of La Solana and at the ‘Escuela Municipal de Música “Maestro Moragues”’ of Socuéllamos, both located in the province of Ciudad Real. Since 2016, he has also been teaching saxophone at the ‘Escuela Municipal de Música’ of Argamasilla de Alba (Ciudad Real).
